Maine Coast Creamery is owned and operated by Ismael Thadal and Molly Hodgkins. Originally from Haiti, Ismael immigrated to Maine in 2007. Molly is a Maine native herself, originally from Trenton, ME. Ismael and Molly bonded over their shared love of ice cream when they met in 2014 and have made a hobby out of trying new ice cream places all throughout New England with their friends! In 2020, Ismael made it his goal to one day attend Ice Cream 101 at Penn State University and become an ice cream manufacturer. True to his word, Ismael trained at the ice cream courses at both Penn State University and Cornell University. He and Molly have carefully developed their proprietary ice cream recipes and craft all of their homemade ice cream in their Emery Thompson.

Our vision is simple: to create real ice cream, made entirely from scratch, using simple, high-quality ingredients. This commitment to quality became the foundation of Maine Coast Creamery. With the support of friends, family, and our community, our ice cream has quickly earned a loyal following, recognized not only for its exceptional flavor but also for our dedication to raising the standard of what ice cream should be.
